Cornices And Bathroom Waterproofing - WK 20

Week 20

Mon 19th May - Sun 25 May 2014

Now that we are at Fixing stage of the build we don't see much progress from the outside. Specially when your locked up and most of the work carried on is to the first floor. But  I am sure there were tradies on sight for an hour or so a day doing something.

Here what most visible for week:-
- Shower Recess Waterproofing
- Cornices
- Front Door Delivered

Mon 19 May - Plumbing - Day 96
Today the plumbers were back to re-position the drain pipes for En suite 1 & 2 vanity cabinets as they were slightly out of measurement (out by 20 cm) hence the vanity couldn't installed.

Tue 20 May - Shower Recess Waterproofing - Day 97
We had a trade man  ( Tiler????) come to do preparation work for the shower recess.
He applied some black waterproof coating to the shower walls.

Wed 21 May - Cornices - Day 98
Drive pass the house and notice there were some cornices off cuts thrown into the sight cage hence I presumed the cornices may have been installed. Wasnt able to take any photo as it was quiet dark. Will try take some picture by end of the week as it was a little dark

Thu 22 May - Shower Recess Waterproofing (2nd coat) - Day 99
My Neighbor said the same Ute was parked outside the house today so I assume he was there to apply perhaps a second coat for the shower area.

Fri 23 May - No Work - Day 100
Delivery: Front Door
My Neighbor told me that there was truck that rocked up to the house at 6:30am and to ONLY discovere just delivering "MY FRONT DOOR' .. Hmm why so early????

Heres some Photos to share with you all

  1. Was wondering why you would want to water proof an area that is used to get wet in. Makes sense that you don't want water getting into the floors, and causing any damage. Now that I know why I should water proof my bathroom I will have to get that done as soon as possible. Don't want my floors getting rotted out any time soon. http://austinwaterproofing.com.au/services/
