Mon 25 Aug - Minor Touch ups  - Day 173

Today the neighbors noticed that the SS was on sight (probably doing some last minute fixtures/touch up perhaps) ready for Wednesday I guess?



Tue 26 Aug - House Cleaned  - Day 174
As per Contract Admin update last week, the SS arranged for someone to come around to do another round of house cleaning.
Also today received my last and final invoice from the builder. Without delay I forward this onto my bank straight away as it takes anywhere between 7-10 working days to arrange for evaluator to come out before making final payment



Wed 27 Aug - Independent Inspector (PCI) - Day 175
My Independent Inspector juggled appointments just to fit me in last minute as SS wanted him to do his inspection prior to PCI. Now that what you call good service. Would recommend him to anybody
Also he gave me a courtesy call to let me know 'no major issues found just really bad plaster and paint jobs that needs tidying up'. Hopefully this shouldn't delay the handover too much





Thu 28 Aug - Occupancy Permit - Day 176
Today I finally received the occupancy permit by email (just two days after receiving the final invoice).



So just quick update, sorry no photos this week

Mon 18 Aug - Sun 24 Aug 2014 (Day 168-172)


As at start of the week the below were the outstanding issues that needed to be addressed by the builder:-
- Main Bathroom En suite Window (translucent film to be removed)
- Covering for External wall vents
- Gap above Kitchen/ Pantry windows
- Water Meter relocation
- Change External sensor lights (Single globes as opposed to double have been ordered/installed)
- Excess Dry Concrete removed from Rear of Garage




Mon 18 Aug - Called Admin  - Day 168
After 3 weeks of no movements/activities at the house I had to but contact admin to see whats going on. Admin couldn't tell me much as no updates was provided to her also so she arranged SS to call me directly to address my concerns / outstanding issues.



Tue 19 Aug - Sight Supervisor called  - Day 169


SS eventually called me today (finally!!!) but again 'no date'..
SS called to run through the last few items/issue I raised (some dates back to start of the build) and then advised he will address my issues and contact me in few weeks to book PCI.
I was not at all pleased when I heard that..  I went on asking him why there hasn't been any progress on the house the last few weeks but all he could advise was he's been working on other builds around that is at the same stages as mine ... I grunted  and stated 'thats what you told me last time we spoke  3 weeks ago'  . So in the end we comprised that he'll call back Friday and we can work when we can book in PCI. ( I am happy with that, even if its in a few weeks at least I have a date to work towards)



Wed 20 Aug - NO Work  - Day 170




Thu 21 Aug - Additional Sight Clean/ Issue Addressed  - Day 171
Weekly Contract Admin status update:-
SS is arranging to addressed the issued that has been raised, and is organising another internal house clean, internal QA checks and will contact client at end of week to book in PCI inspection.

After (3) weeks  of no activities we finally have some update to post
Even though they were just at the house fixing the bits and pieces we raised but its such a better feeling than how I've been feeling the last few weeks I tell you.

This shows they can knock off all the issues in one day if they really wanted too !!!



Fri 22 Aug - PCI Booked  - Day 172
I thought this would be another week of disappointment but finally just after lunch the SS called to advise what needed to be done next. He asked for me to arrange for my independent inspector to come do the inspection next Wednesday 27th August (alone)  and have with me report come PCI day.
So yes I finally PCI inspection  has been booked for Tuesday 02 September @ 7:30am (Week 35) I know abit early but at least I now have a date to work with
I was told by admin they have 14 days to fix any defect after PCI so hoping I get the the keys by Fri 19th September ( (Week 37) Hmm lets see

Still Awaiting PCI - WK 32

Week 32

Mon 11 Aug - Sun  17 Aug  2014 (Day 163-167)


It is now beyond a joke as its been three (3) whole weeks since the sight fence and hired equipment were removed and yet I am still wating for the SS to call and book the PCI inspection

Despite my Contract Admin advising me last week that the SS was due to call this week to book me in for the PCI inspection, BUT it did not happen... I am now getting very frustrated as the house has been left in the same state it was three weeks ago and there are STILL a few items thatI raised early on yet have not been actioned.
I must say I was fortunate we did not run into major hiccups during the build but the last few weeks just waiting for the final inspection is really making me think twice with building again with volume builders or am I just one of those unlucky ones???

Crack Mirror Robe Replaced - WK 31

Week 31

Mon 04 Aug - Sun  10 Aug  2014 (Day 158-162)



Besides the company Premiumoz returning to replace the crack MasterBedroom Mirror Robe, no other work was done at the house.

Still no phone call from the SS to advise house is ready for PCI appointment. I dont feel any love at the moment... It seem just like a waiting games these last few weeks. 

Hopefully by this time next week I have something to report on
