Cabinetry & a start on Architraves - WK 19

Week 19

Mon 12th May - Sun 18 May 2014

We are officially now locked out of our house so just cant rock up anytime to check out the house without tradies on sight. But there were days I managed to catch them after work to snap up some photos and see how the house was processing. ::lol::

Heres whats been happening for week:-
- Internal Garage door access hung
- Electrical Outlet and recess light plaster cutouts
- Painting preparation
- Cabinetry installed
- A start on Architraves
- Sight Clean

Mon 12 May No Work - Day 91

Tue 13 May - Recess light and Electrical outlets cut outs - Day 92
One of the most frustration and time consuming part of fixing the plasterboard is cutting the holes for electrical outlets and light fittings so this is left to the professions, therefore eletricians were back and on sight cutting out all the recesses for the downlights and electrical outlets.

AND .......................................................We are officially now LOCKED OUT !!!!!! ::sad:: ::sad:: ::sad:: ::sad:: As the broken glass to one of the Alfresco panel sliding door has now been replaced and a door has ALSO been hung to the internal garage door access.

Wed 14 May - Kitchen, Pantry AND Laundry cabinetry - Day 93
Today was another busy day at the house, we had plasterer come back to do some sanding in preparation for the painting. Where others were making a start of the windows architraves to ground floor and finally but not least ....................OUR cabinets are in ::cheerleader::   ::cheerleader::

Yes finally I get to see my Kitchen, Butler Pantry and also the Laundry cabinets go in :z: :z: :z: :z: :z: . I don't know if anyone was excited when theirs were fitted but surely I was today::lol::
Cabinet maker were still there when I dropped by after work and he'd told me he was going to be back tomorrow to finish off the cabinet in the fridge recess and the rest of the Power, ensuite and bathroom cabinets.

Also, someone has came in and taken my Kitchen / Pantry Under mount sinks and the vanity basins ::angry:: ::angry:: ::angry:: ::angry:: (If I knew this would happen I would have taken them and kept them in a safe place when they were delivered last Friday along with the cabinets)
Now I wonder if this going to delay things as they have to re-order ????

Thu 15 May - Power, En suite and Bathroom cabinetry - Day 94
As I'm now official locked out I wasn't able to see the Power , En-suite and Bathroom cabinet go in as they are all on the top floor but the cabinet marker told me it was going to be completed by noon today. So I peeped through the Alfresco window and notice the cabinet in the fridge recess were fitted so I guess so.

Yah, so besides the cabinet maker finishing off the job, it was a quiet one at the house today..would have thought tradies came back to finish off the architraves

Weekly Contract Admin status update:-
Stairs, Cabinets have been completed. Next week, they make a start on paint preparation and arrange for the garage roof to be tiled

I just cant wait to see the garage roof tiled.. As we starting to see the roof trusses starting to get dis-co loured due to being exposed to the wet weather for the last 3 months (since 15 Feb 2014). ::frown:: ::frown::

Fri 16 May -Sight Clean - Day 95
Neighbors saw a couple of cars at the house today but I couldn't exactly see what they did but I guess anything they do makes us one step closer ::lol:: ::lol::

AND at long last we have another sight clean. This marks the (2) sight clean since SLAB been down.
