Gas Meter Installed - WK 30

Week 30

Mon 28 Jul - Sun  03 Aug  2014 (Day 153-157)

Not much to  update this week besides Gas Company (Energy Australia) called to to advise they were coming out to connect the Gas meter and the Kitcehn Island Pendant lights were fitted.

So most of my week was spent running around getting quote from different plumbers to see the cost of relocating the Water Meter post handover.
Tip for those starting to build, make sure you check the location of your water meter as its NOT cheap to relocate ::sad:: ::sad:: We getting quotes of $1500 to relocate and thats excluding the application fees to Water Company.

As you can see from the photo below its currently located infront of my garage /driveway, so much of having a extra garage where we cannot even get our car in ::sad::

Site Fence and port-a-loo REMOVED - WK 29

Week 29

Mon 21 Jul - Sun  19 Jul 2014 (Day 148-152)

Well well what a week it has been, we had tradies in and out of the home to fix up last minute fixtures and finally all the hired equipement (Temp Fence, Port--loo and Sight cage) have been removed.
The house looks very different feels like I am exposing it to the public

 Work of the week
- Sight clean and fill
- Temporary Fence and Port-loo removed
- Plumbing & Telephone Line Trenching
- LED downlight and External light fittings
- Stairs polish and vanished
- Internal house paint touch ups

Mon 21 Jul - Sight clean and sight fill  - Day 148

At long last the sight has had another sight clean (and I think this may be the last one too) So there is no excuse for people to dump rubbish on my property anymore.

Tue 22 Jul - Temporary Fence and Port-a-loo Removed  - Day 149
The temporary fence and port-a loo were removed off sight today.  It sure makes a BIG difference to the house appearance. But now I am worried that it makes is so easy for just anyone to walk into the property ::sad:: ::sad::

Also the electrician were back on sight to finish off the remainder of ground floor light fittings, also got to see a sneak peak of the partial kitchen pendant lights (only the pendant no globe as yet) Think this is just incase it gets stolen.

Received a call from the Contract admin today stating that Master Bedroom windows to the master have to NOW be fully translucent because A&L windows do not do 1700mm high translucent  windows and these needed to be translucent or else  wont pass for occupancy permit.

Apparently due to the 3pm shadow , these windows needed to be at a minimal 1700mm translucent which we were advised need to be done in order to get the building permit approved.  But now they going to be fully translucent (No more view from my bedroom) ::sad::

Wed 23 Jul - Plumbing and Telephone Line Trenching  - Day 150

SS had organised the painters to come back today and do the internal paint touch up and also polish and vanish the stairs

Wed 16 Jul - House Cleaned and Carpet underlay - Day 144

Whats wrong with this photo???

Received a call from the Contract admin call today stating that the SS has been on sight and has pointed out an issue with the Showerhead.
Apparently the shower heads that I selected from the standard range - Brewers- Rain Jet Hand Shower (1 function / RHS1F) is not suitable and is position too low.

Burbank advised they will not hand-over a house like this and will raise a variation to change showerhead over to Brewers Rain Jet 4 Wall Bar Kit (4 function/ RWB4F) without any charge ( NOW who will not be happy with that :z::z::z::z:)
Believe it or not originally we wanted to upgrade to this type of Showerhead+ Wall Bar but due to budget we went with standard.

Once again it was busy at the house today we had the Gas Line Trenched and the house has been cleaned (no more muddy foot prints) and finally but not least the Carpet Underlay was also in
