First Floor Wrap and Roof Tiling - WK 11

Week 11

Mon 17th Mar - Sun 23 Mar 2014

The long wait but finally after (51) since sight start I have a roof over my house


Mon 17th Mar - Roof Scaffold erected - Day 49
Delivery: Roof Tiles (Bristile - traditional-Chocolat) & Roof Battens
Quite a bit of work was done today, up went the Roof Scaffold and even the first floor was wrapped
And .........at long last the roof tiles showed up along with the roof battens


Tue 18th Mar - Roof Tiling Preparation - Day 50
The Roof Tilers put up all the roof battens in preparation for the tiles. Perhaps tomorrow will be the big day?

Apparently Roof battens need to be installed prior to laying the tiles. ( I guess it makes sense or else how will the tiles stay up ???)

Wed 19th Mar - Roof Tiling - Day 51
Today was a very productive day, 90% of the roof tiles were installed



Thu 20th Mar - Roof Tile Capping - Day 52
Today the Roof tiling return to finish off the remainder of the roof tiling, this also include the roof capping


Weekly Contract Admin status update:-
The Roof Tiling should be completed by end of the week.

The Brickies should resume and start bricking the remainder of first floor, hopefully be 2 weeks the house should be fully bricked then we can start working inside



Fri 21st Mar - NO work - Day 53
Delivery: Brick Sand
Besides second (2) batch of brick sand were delivered today , I guess ready for the brickies to start work next week. nothing else was done.. A quiet day

This week been a more productive week, I am just glad I have a roof over my house now (so I can be less worried if there is any rain )
Hopefully by end of next week the house will be fully bricked
