Week 22

This whole week has all been about the "GARAGE" and the long wait is now over.... Drum roll....
At long last after 22 weeks since sight start OR (16) weeks since frame-  "We" finally have a roof over our garage.


Highlight if the week:-
- Garage Gutter and Fascia delivered and installed
- Garage Roof tiles delivered
- Garage Roof scaffold erected
- Garage Roof batten and tiles installed
- The Vanity Caesarstone benches installed
- Front Door Hung
- Balcony Subfloor
- Garage Eave installed




Mon 02 June - Garage Roof Gutter and Fascia Delivered - Day 106
Delivery: Garage Roof Fascia and Gutters
It was a quiet day at the house so besides delivery of the fascia and gutter for the garage, nothing else - apparently the carpenter was off sick
But we  managed to arrange to meet  up with Sydenham Concrete guys on sight to discuss our concrete needs  and arrange quote.




Tue 03 June - Garage Gutter and Fascia Installed - Day 107
The Carpenter came back today to finish off the last pieces of skirting to first floor then I guess now they can mark 'Fix Carpenter' stage of the build complete ( and I guess then they can bill me the FIXOUT invoice)

We also managed to see the Garage Gutter and Fascia installed (finally there is progress on the garage)!!!




Wed 04 June - Garage Roof Scaffold Erected- Day 108
Delivery: Garage Roof tiles 
At long last we see the (2) batch of Roof tiles delivered along with the garage roof scaffold being erected.  The house has also been cleaned, perhaps ready for the painters to start prep work?



Thu 05 June - Garage Roof Tiled- Day 109
Delivery:  Vanity Caesarstone Bench

It was ab busy day at the house.
We had  (4) roof tilers come and put up the roof batten and tiled the whole garage roof within 4 hours.
Carpenter was back on site to put hang up the Front Door and Laundry/Pantry Room cavity door and the Vanity Caesarstone benches were delivered and installed as well.



Fri 06 June - Garage Roof Tiled- Day 110
Carpenter puts up architraves to the front door and interal garage access door.

Now that the garage Roof is on I guess we are very close to reaching the end of the "FIXING ' stage of build and then we into the fun stuff (paint, floor tiles and carpet, fixtures??? )  Cant wait to see the painter come on sight.. Hopefully we see them next week or so??
